Praised for his “absolute conviction, and glimmering silver thread of tone” (Boston Musical Intelligencer), Thomas Lee Cooper’s unique command of the violin, and vast interpretive prowess has touched audiences worldwide. Cooper made his concerto debut at the age of 15, and is a laureate of national and international prizes and awards. A three-time winner of New England Conservatory’s Entrepreneurial Musicianship award, Cooper is the founder and Artistic Director of Fermata Chamber Soloists, an award-winning collective of young artists performing virtuoso concerto and chamber music. In 2025, Cooper co-founded the Tristan Trio alongside pianist Aljoša Jurinić and cellist Tyler Michael James.
