Praised for his “elegant and expressive playing” (Boston Musical Intelligencer), violinist Thomas Lee Cooper enjoys a dynamic career as a leader, chamber musician and soloist. A three-time winner of New England Conservatory’s Entrepreneurial Musicianship award, Cooper is the founder and Artistic Director of Fermata Chamber Soloists, an award-winning collective of young artists performing virtuoso concerto and chamber music. Cooper is concertmaster of the Du Bois Orchestra in Cambridge, MA, and in 2025, he co-founded the Tristan Trio alongside pianist Aljoša Jurinić and cellist Tyler Michael James. Cooper made his concerto debut at the age of fifteen, and is a laureate of national and international prizes and awards.
